A former TV star on The Scheme made a shock appearance on TikTok this week - promising fans he would "tell his story."

Marvin Baird was on the TV back in 2010 as part of the BBC documentary that showcased life in Kilmarnock's Onthank and Knockinlaw estates.

On Tuesday, Marvin appeared on his cousin's TikTok page to update fans on his current life situation.

Sitting in a living room, Marvin introduced himself to viewers alongside his pet dog Trixie, in a video that has racked up over 350,000 views.

He told followers he would be hosting a Q&A session live on the platform on Friday at 6pm in order to tell the story of his life, including his time on The Scheme.

Marvin said: "As you can see, I've packed on a few pounds. But that's just a wee change in lifestyle.

"I'm going to be going live on Friday on my cousin James Cunningham's page until I get the followers.

"I would like to thank anybody who take the time to listen to my story and is going to follow me from now on.

"We are going to start from the very beginning of my life, it's not just going to be all about The Scheme.

"I want people to know the real me and what actually happened with that, how that ended up being so bad when it should've been a good thing.

"Other that that, the now, everything's going alright for me the now. I'm just hoping I can keep myself going the way I'm going and I'm looking forward to going live and giving you my story."

The clip can be viewed on TikTok.
