Spend the night underneath the dramatic dark skies of Craigengillan Estate with East Ayrshire Leisure’s Countryside Rangers for a fun family outdoor experience on Wednesday, July 3.
Take part in nature activities and enjoy delicious campfire meals and treats.
The rangers will show you how to safely light a fire and forage for edible snacks from nature’s larder.
Come nightfall you might be lucky enough to see some nocturnal creatures on a dusk walk.
Then enjoy some star gazing and hot chocolates before snuggling up in your sleeping bag for the night. In the morning, wake up to the dawn chorus and enjoy a camp breakfast before striking camp and ‘leaving no trace’.
The event is suitable for children aged six and over, but they must be accompanied by an adult. An evening meal and breakfast are provided but please bring your own tent and bedding.
Tickets are £20 for adults, £15 for under 15s or £60 for a family (two adults and two kids).
Book online at eastayrshireleisure.com or by calling Dean Castle Country Park’s Visitor Centre on 01563 554734.
