ANGRY community campaigners have hit out at dog owners for letting their dogs head along to one of their biggest events of the year.
Muirhead Tenants and Residents Association teamed up with Muirhead Primary School to hold a summer fayre in the primary school grounds a week past on Saturday.
But dog owners took their animals with them and one ended up fouling.
Frances Carson, chairwoman of Muirhead Tenants and Residents Association, said: “I have nothing against dogs.
“But there are clear signs they are not allowed in the school grounds.
“One ended up fouling near the bouncy castle, which is disgusting.
“Some people argued that it’s a Saturday and there’s no problem with dogs being there.
“But they shouldn’t be in there any time.
“Hopefully next time people will pay attention and won’t bring their dogs along.”
