A STUDENT had her car windows smashed in and her college bag stolen after it was targeted in Ayr.
Amy-Louise Brown, 18, from Ayr had her white Seat Ibiza broken into which lift a pile of broken glass on the seats.
The incident took place over the weekend of April 27 and 28 on Ayr High Street.
A shocked friend of Amy-Louise shared pictures on her social media page asking for help to find out who committed the crime.
The images showed the passenger window completely shattered. In a tweet her friend Chelsea Steele said: “So last night in Ayr some idiot smashed in Amy’s car window, stole her bag which had all her college work in it etc, if anyone knows anything or hears anything, sees a baby pink Student’s car window smashed during break in bag lying about Ayr pls let us know!!
Police launched an investigation to find out who was responsible. A local police spokesperson said: “Police Scotland can confirm that they received a report of a motor vehicle being broken into on Ayr High Street over the weekend of April 27 and 28 2019.
“PC Hartley is currently conducting enquires into this and requests anyone with information or who may have witnessed it to contact her via 101 quoting incident 3853 of April 28, 2019
