The capes have been ironed, masks dusted down and superhero poses perfected - the second instalment of the popular event is gearing up to be bigger and better than ever.

Superheroes are back in Ayr with over 50 traders, cosplayers, comic art classes and a host of special guests set to take over the leisure centre this Saturday, May 11.

Event Organiser, Ian Bonar, of BGCP Comic Con, said: “Last year's Ayr Comic Con was one of my favourite events as we expected a big turnout but the people that showed up on the day far exceeded that.

"We're aiming to make it even better this year and I am looking forward to seeing plenty of people coming along to the event dressed as their favourite superheroes and villains.”
