A STREET was closed off after a fire at a flat in Troon last night (Wednesday, April 10).
Police and fire services rushed to the scene at St Meddans Street where the blaze took place.
Thankfully there were no injuries as emergency services reacted promptly.
St Meddans Street was closed off for a period of time shortly after 8.30pm when the fire struck.
A spokesperson from South Ayrshire Police said: "South Ayrshire Localities Officers along with Scottish Fire and Rescue attended a flat fire in St Meddans Street, Troon. The fire was safely extinguished and all are safe.
"St. Meddans Road was closed for a short time but is now open again."
