A gin festival in support of a local charity for people with learning difficulties returns to Troon this week.

West Coast Fest, which launched last year and was a sell-out success, has chosen Hansel as its charity partner for a second time.

The event takes place from 12-4pm and 6-10 pm on Saturday, April 13 in Troon Concert Hall, with the money raised from the cloakroom going to the Ayrshire charity.

The festival will give visitors the opportunity to meet makers and sample gins, spirits, beers, ciders and even cocktails all sourced from Scotland and Northern Ireland. There will also be two live music, street food vendors and two beer gardens.

Joanne and Jill from J&J Events said: “We’ve developed a great working relationship with Hansel and we are really passionate about the work they do.

“It’s great to be able to support a charity on our doorstep and we know that every penny raised goes to one of their worthy projects.

“Tickets are selling fast and it should be a fantastic event.”

Tickets for the festival are available from jjeventbars.com and cost £12.50.
