A TEENAGER was busted in her car last week for allegedly smoking cannabis.

Police came across the 19-year-old woman by chance in a car park while they were attending another matter near Symington Road North in Symington. They were passing the area at around 2am in the morning, February 23 when they grew suspicious of the woman in her car.

When arriving, officers detected a smell of the Class B drugs from within the vehicle before seizing the substance from her.

A police spokesperson told the Ayr Advertiser: “At about 2am on Saturday, February 23, 2019 police attended at this location in relation to another matter.

“On arrival, a motor vehicle was identified as being parked within the car park. Officers attended and detected a smell of controlled drugs from within the vehicle.

“ The Class B controlled drugs were thereafter seized and the woman was advised that she was being reported for the matter.”

The teenager had her drugs confiscated from her.
