Man found carrying firearm in Ayr
POLICE have arrested and charged a man for allegedly being in possession of a firearm last night.
The 29-year-old was found with the weapon in Smith Street in Ayr at around 11.30pm on Monday, March 4.
He is expected to appear at Ayr Sheriff Court tomorrow in connection with the incident and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
Enquires are also ongoing following the reports a number of robberies across South Ayrshire. Officers are following definite lines of enquiry.
