A MAN was summoned by police at the weekend for allegedly texting on his mobile phone while he was driving.
The 27-year-old was stopped in his car at around 2.20pm on Friday, March 1 while police were patrolling the area of Ayr Road in Prestwick.
The man was observed to be driving whilst having his phone in his hand prompting officers to pull him over.
He was advised that he was being reported to the Procurator Fiscal over the matter.
