A MAN has appeared in court accused of pinning his partner to a bed and trying to attack her.

26-year-old Callum Lowrie of Stewart Place in Patna saw the red mist when he demanded his clothes to be washed in an outrage in front of his toddler.

Depute Fiscal Ed Sheeran told Ayr Sheriff Court he was asked to leave the house or his partner would phone the police. Mr Sheeran said: “A short time later, the accused came up to complainer’s bedroom and said ‘you better not have phoned the police’.

He pushed her back onto the bed and held her by the arms, grabbed her by the throat and attempted to punch her.”

The bully struggled with police when they arrived, who then found him to be carrying a quantity of heroin.

Sheriff Mhari MacTaggart adjourned the case in order to obtain further reports.
