THE HANSEL charity has received a generous donation thanks to a Christmas Winter Fayre.

The charity who offer a range of services to people living with learning difficulties, based in Symington, received a cheque for £2,765 after an extremely successful event that was held in Rowallan Castle.

The Campbell family presented the cheque following the Fayre held over the festive period. A host of local businesses attended the event to sell their crafts along with Santa’s Grotto and delicious afternoon teas.

Commenting on the event Katy Campbell said, “The Winter Fayre was a great event and we are really delighted to be able to support such a worthwhile charity. We’ve been using Hansel’s laundry service for the past three years and during that time and have really got to know some of the staff and recognise the worthwhile work they do in the community.”
