P7 pupils from Barassie Primary School took part in an outdoor challenge day as part of ‘The Wee Sleep’ Out to raise awareness of homelessness in Scotland and funds for the charity Social Bite. The pupils and staff spent a total of eight hours outdoors.
The day started with each team working collaboratively to get shelter by pitching their tent. Each team also had to cook their lunch outdoors. The weather was a typical winter day and all of the pupils did extremely well to brave the elements in aid of the cause.
Thank you very much to Morrison’s in Troon for donating vouchers for each group to budget and plan their lunch. Thank you also to Dough Gourmet Pizza Bar in Troon for donating the delicious pizzas for all to enjoy after completing the challenge.
A great time was had by all!
