Fire crews were scrambled to battle a blaze on the first floor of a house on Carolside Avenue, Clarkston this afternoon.
The fire broke out in the East Renfrewshire residential area at around midday on Sunday.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was called around 12.20pm to a report of thick smoke billowing from a first floor window.
Three fire vehicles were called and put out the fire.
Fire crews still don't know how the fire started.
No casualties were reported by the Fire and Rescue Service.
One fire engine remained at the scene at 2.30pm to deal with the aftermath of the blaze.
A spokeswoman for Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "At around 12:20pm we received a report of a well developed fire on the ground and first floor of a property on Carolside Avenue. There are no reported casualties."
Cllr David Macdonald of East Renfrewshire Council, wrote on Facebook: "As I am sure many have heard there has been a house fire on Carolside Avenue in Clarkston.
"My thoughts and sympathies go to all those affected, especially at this time of year and thanks go out to the work of the Fire Service and Police who have been attending to this and remain on the scene.
"I have paid a visit to the site and have forwarded my details to the family through the Police to facilitate any assistance the local authority can offer."
