Parking will be free at weekends in Ayr town centre
ANYONE visiting Ayr to do their Christmas shopping won’t have to pay to leave their cars in Council car parks and on-street spaces.
South Ayrshire Council has suspended weekend charges throughout December to encourage more shoppers into the town centre.
All on-street parking will be free as well as in the council owned car parks in Barns Crescent, Charlotte Street, and Kyle Street every weekend in December.
Private car parks will continue to charge as normal.
Normal weekend parking charges will be reinstated from Saturday, January 5 2019.
