PUPILS at Dalmilling Primary School have taken an active role in helping police tackle a speeding zone which has raised many concerns from locals.
Children from the school were part of the community who voiced concerns on the road near their school as cars were reported driving over the 30mph speed limit. One road at the side of the school is 20mph at busy school times.
Local police officer PC Bysouth visited p7 pupils with a speedgun last week to show how officers plan to address the concerns and deter drivers from speeding in the area where many children and parents cross the road.
Pupils also had a go at using the speedguns and participating in clamping down on speeders next to their school.
