Ayr United have released a statement in regard to smoke bombs that were let off in Saturdays Scottish Cup match against Beith Juniors at Bellsdale Park.
The club have stated that they would like anyone who may have any information surrounding the incident to come forward.
The statement reads: “The club would like to thank our supporters for, again, turning up in great numbers to support the team. Unfortunately, the behaviour of a small few fell well short of acceptable conduct.
"Setting off smoke devices may seem like it’s ‘harmless fun’ and ‘adding to the day’ however this is far from the case and in actual fact affects the health of other supporters who are breathing in the smoke.
"The club has received numerous complaints from our own supporters regarding these incidents at Saturday’s game and if anyone has any information or footage of the incidents please contact Roy Provan on 01292 263435 (stadium & security extension) or by email royprovan@yahoo.co.uk”
