A person found struggling in the water at Bracken Bay, Ayr was rescued on Saturday as emergency services were called to the scene.
Ayr and Ardrossan Coastguard Rescue Teams were called to the area just off Heads of Ayr Farm, along with Troon RNLI lifeboats. The HM Coastguard Prestwick Helicopter was also sent to attend to the casualty just after 1pm on Saturday, November 10.
The individual was airlifted to Ayr Hospital and transferred into the car of the Scottish Ambulance Service.
