Stagecoach West Scotland will provide free travel to Armed Forces personnel this weekend as they get behind the 2018 Poppy Appeal.
Service members past or present who carry a military ID card and veterans wearing a veteran’s badge will be allowed to travel free of charge in the hope to help more pay their respects at the service of their choice in the West of Scotland.
Sam Greer, Stagecoach West Scotland Managing Director said; “Once again, we are proud to be supporting Remembrance Sunday in this way. This year, 100 years after World War I ended, we are supporting our armed forces to say Thank you to all who served, sacrificed and changed our world.
“Through our support we hope we can send a clear message to our Armed Forces communities in West Scotland that we appreciate and recognise the commitment they have made to our country over the years.”
In addition to free travel, Stagecoach has made a contribution to the Royal British Legion, enabling all drivers who choose to wear a poppy to do so.
