HANSEL is urging Ayrshire’s citizens to get behind a public campaign to secure support funding.

The charity’s Kickstart drama initiative has been short-listed for the Aviva Community Fund however, to unlock the next stage in the process Hansel needs the public to vote for its project.

In partnership with The Citizens Theatre, Kickstart provides young people who live with a learning disability or Autism the opportunity to take part in drama workshops to help build confidence, improve communication and learn new skills.

The funding application will enable a further series of workshops to be held at the Citizens in Glasgow.

To cast your vote supporters need to take just a couple of minutes to register at – https:// community-fund.aviva.co.uk/voting/project/ view/4-1483 Agnes Paton, Fundraising and Communications Manager said, “The transformation in the participants of our Kickstart workshops has been tremendous to see and they absolutely loved it.

It just takes a couple of minutes to register your vote but that will make such a difference to the success of our application and our ability to extend this project further. We would be so grateful for your time.”

Kickstart was launched at the beginning of last year and involved a number of participants of Hansel’s Connect service.
