A FRINGE event of the Day o’ the Deid will see people join a unique winter art trail in Ayr, where the front windows of houses and shops light up to become an outdoor gallery.

The vibrant Window Wanderland displays will illuminate Ayr during the festival.

Organisers would love to hear from anyone who would like to get involved in Ayr’s Window Wanderland by signing up at https://www.windowwanderland.com/ event/ayr-2018-oct/ If you’d like to run your own Window Wanderland in your community head to www.windowwanderland.com or email admin@windowwanderland.com Lucy Reeves Khan, the founder of Window Wanderland, came up with the idea after an accident left her disabled.

She said: “I began taking rehabilitative walks at night and found that the light coming from inside people’s housesmade me feel better, less alone and left me feeling uplifted.”

Lucy developed an online platform which enables events to be run by local organisers who all volunteer their time.
