A MAN from Maybole has died in a road crash on Friday, September 28.
54-year-old Richard Herron was found dead when emergency services arrived shortly after the crash at 6.30am.
The collision involved one vehicle at Culzean Road.
A spokesperson from South Ayrshire Police said: “Police were called to a report of a single vehicle road crash near Maybole. Emergency services attended and sadly, the driver, a 54 year old man, was found dead. Relatives are aware and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
There were also long tailbacks at the A77 northbound after Monkton on the same morning from another accident that occurred around 6.30am.
Two vehicles were involved in a collision near Symington. Police attended and confirmed there no injuries.
