THE Ayrshire Hospice is delighted to have received a number of celebrity endorsements for their Go Purple fundraising campaign this year.
Britain’s Got Talent 2011 winner Ayrshire’s Jai McDowall , the UK renowned vocal harmony group The Overtones plus Pop Idol 2003 winner Michelle McManus are all helping to promote the “Go Purple”campaign.
The familiar faces have each recorded a special message on the hospice Facebook page (www.facebook.com/AyrshireHospice) encouraging everyone to mark the seventh anniversary of Go Purple on Friday October 12, during national Hospice Care Week.
The messages are available to view now so hospice supporters should keep their eyes peeled to see some famous faces donning the purple.
Mandy Yule, Chief Executive at the Ayrshire Hospice explains “Go Purple has really captured the imagination of people across Ayrshire - from the farmer who dyed his sheep purple to “wear it purple”
days and purple gunge contests - there’s no end to the creativity of our fantastic fundraisers!”
This year’s Go Purple has already attracted commitment from Spirit AeroSystems, Microtech Digital, Nationwide , North, South and East Ayrshire Councils, Tesco, Forehill Primary and Greenwood Academy, but more are needed.
