MECCA Ayr has launched a search to find the top singing superstars in Ayr, as it announces the return of its talent competition, Mecca Star.
In addition to being crowned one of the best singers in the country, the winner will receive a cash prize of £2,500.
To be in with a chance of winning, Mecca Ayr is encouraging all budding singers in Ayr to upload a video clip of their best musical performance to the Mecca YouTube channel or email direct to star@meccabingo.com by no later than 7th October.
Chris Morrice, Club Manager at Mecca Ayr, said: “We’re so excited to announce the return of Mecca Star and after the success of last year, we can’t wait to find out what amazing performers could be hiding in Ayr!
“We believe bingo and top entertainment should be one and the same, and what better way to do it than a singing talent show. With an impressive cash prize there for the taking, here’s hoping the next Mecca Star winner hails from Ayr!”
Successful candidates will be one of twenty amongst the whole country given the opportunity to sing live in front of a star-studded panel of expert judges including Claire Sweeney, Duncan James, Daily Star journalist, Susan Hill and X-Factor 2014 winner, Ben Haenow.
The top four singing stars who impress the judges the most, will then go through to the final stage and have their chance to bag the £2,500 cash prize and perform live at the final in January 2019.
