AUTHOR AH Proctor will visit Ayr as part of a drive to save libaries.
The writer, whose Thumble Tumble book series follows the adventures of an extraordinary little witch on the Isle of Arran, will make a personal appearance at the Carnegie Library in Ayr on October 8 for Holmston Primary.
For National Libraries Week next week, there will also be some magic tokens hidden within Ayrshire libraries.
Explaining, she said: “I’m heartbroken to hear of so many closures in recent years and want to do all within Thumble Tumble’s power to reverse this trend.”
Treats will be included inside the books for youngsters.
