AYR High Street and Prestwick Main Street have been shortlisted in the Rising Star category of the Great British High Street Awards 2018.
The Rising Star category recognises and celebrates the most ambitious high streets across Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The two nominated Ayrshire streets are in the running to win a £15,000 prize, with the winners to be announced on November 15 at an awards ceremony in London.
Over 150 applications were made and the locations were chosen by an independent judging panel as two of 12 candidate streets to be shortlisted for the award.
The remaining 12 nominees will battle it out in a public vote, which accounts for 30 per cent of the final scoring.
