FIRE gutted a small building at a Girvan cemetery last week.
The hut at the cemetery in Byne Hill was completely destroyed in the blaze, which took hold in the early hours of Sunday, September 9.
No one was injured in the fire and the cause is still unknown.
A spokesman from the fire service said: “The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 3.09am on Sunday, September 9 to reports of a fire at Byne Hill Cemetery in Girvan.
“Operations Control mobilised two fire engines to the scene, where crews extinguished a fire within a single-storey building. “There were no casualties.
“Crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe.”
