CULZEAN Castle’s annual Dog Splash event saw hundreds of dog owners with their canine friends.

Taking place over the weekend of Saturday, August 11 to Sunday, August 12, visitors got to enter their dogs into the Canine Aquatic and Dock Diving competitions as well as Dog Water Sports taking place throughout the day, with demonstrations include Canicross & Canine First Aid & CPR.

Visitors were able to enter the Fun Dog Show, Dog Agility Course and the Doggy Dash.

Our reporter, Pippa Smith, went along to the annual event with her two Labradors who took part in the Dog Water Sports.

She said: “It was a brilliant day – there were hundreds of dogs, including lots of little puppies. I took my two to the K9 dog agility which has the huge swimming pool.

"Some of the dogs that did it were a bit unsure and others like mine jumped straight into it – it was great.

“Its such a lovely place to have it because, before or after visiting the event, which was held down at the Swan Pond, you can go for a walk around the park and the weather on the Saturday was perfect for it."
