A MAN was arrested for allegedly being in possession of a pair of pliers with intent to commit theft.
At around 1.40pm on Wednesday, July 4 at Kyle Street in Ayr, it is understood that police witnesses were on patrol and were called the town centre radio of reports of a suspicious male who had been in the store and believed have been there to commit theft.
It is claimed that the 44-year-old was traced and searched, and the police found the pliers in his possession – he was arrested and taken to Ayr Police Station and was released to appear at court at a later date.
