DRIVERS in Troon could be faced with a speed limit reduction to ‘avoid danger’.

A consultation has been launched by the Ayrshire Roads Alliance to introduce a 20mph speed limit over the entire length of the new Braemore Wood development.

It is understood that this road is considered necessary to make a Speed Limit Order to introduce a 20mph speed limit for avoiding danger to members of the public or other traffic using Braemore Wood including pedestrians, so keeping vehicles to a speed suitable for the nature of the road and adjacent properties.

Full details of the proposal can be found at South Ayrshire Council, Burns House, from Monday to Thursday between 8:45am and 4:45pm and on Friday from 8:45am to 4pm and it can also be viewed at Troon Library and online at www.AyrshireRoadsAlliance.org website.

Anyone who would like to object to the proposals must state their reasons in writing to - Head of Roads - Ayrshire Roads Alliance, The Johnnie Walker Bond, 15 Strand Street, Kilmarnock, KA1 1HU by Wednesday, July 11.
