THE COUNTDOWN is on for this year’s Maidens Harbour Gala.
Maidens have their own traditions and each year instead of a Gala Queen, a Gala Mermaid will be crowned.
Saturday, July 28 will be no different but instead of one Gala Mermaid, there will be two.
Eva Fairbank and Luci Lack are crowned this year alongside their kilted attendant Fraser McWilliam.
The gala will start at 1pm and will run until 4pm with a selection of stalls and entertainment to enjoy.
Last year saw a Santa water duel, Tug of War, pony rides, facepainting, a putting green and a tombola stall.
On top of that burgers and kippers stalls, home baking and ice cream were on offer.
There was entertainment from a piper and the school of dance which made the event even more spectacular.
It is hoped this year will be even better than before and everyone is welcome to attend.
