THE Ayrshire Hospice launched two of its summer fundraising campaigns at their barbecue for employees and voluntary staff.
The Big Summer Sizzle, run by Scotland’s Hospices Together and incorporating Ayrshire Hospice, is set to see a burst of barbecue activity taking place throughout Scotland during the summer months to raise funds for hospices around the country.
The Ayrshire Hospice is asking the Ayrshire community to hold a barbecue event, shake up some cocktails, take a picnic down the beach or even hold an outdoor brunch in aid of the local charity.
Their second campaign, Tea at 3, is where the Ayrshire Hospice invites the Ayrshire community to hold an afternoon tea style event in aid of them.
It could be a cream tea, a G & ‘T’ party, a garden party or a Royal Ascot-themed event. Mother and toddler groups have previously got involved.
Ron Swanson, Assistant Fundraising Manager at the Ayrshire Hospice said “We are proud and delighted to launch our two summer campaigns.
“We need to raise around £20,800 per day to keep all our hospice services running and any support that the Ayrshire community can offer will be truly appreciated.”
