TROON Rotary’s monthly Community Support cheque for £200 went on this occasion to local girl Shona Gerrie to support her in working towards a postgraduate diploma in tropical nursing.
Shona will embark on a self funded course in Tropical Medicine and plans to volunteer in providing medical support in communities where diseases such as polio and malaria endanger public health.
Rotarians Ian Kelly, Douglas Allison and Nigel Hornby presented the cheque to Shona.
