SCOTTISH Fire and Rescue received 24 phone calls following a grass fire near Maybole.
At around 9pm on Wednesday, May 23, the blaze broke at Kildoon Hill, however, the cause is unknown.
A spokesman for SFRS said: “The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 8.59pm on Wednesday, May 23 to reports of grass on fire near Dailly Road, Maybole.
“Operations Control immediately mobilised one fire engine to the scene and firefighters extinguished the flames.
“Crews left the scene at around 10.50pm after ensuring the area was made safe.”
