CHILDREN from St Patrick’s Primary donated more than £100 to Ayrshire Maternity Unit’s Neonatal Unit.
The primary five and six classes’ Christmas Enterprise Project raised £160 at the event.
They chose to donate the funds to the Neonatal Unit (NNU) because their headteacher Lynsey May’s son James spent time there after being born nine weeks premature.
Lynsey, James and pupils Oliver Kolodziej and Lucy Ferguson presented the donation to staff in the NNU last month.
Caroline Blake, Clinical Midwife Manager Neonatal Services, said: “We are very grateful to St Patrick’s Primary pupils for this kind donation.
“It was lovely to see Lynsey and James again and to meet Oliver and Lucy.”
