A MAN threatened to cut police officers up and feed them to the fish.

Scott Rudge, of Mosside Mossblown, admitted to behaving in an aggressive manner at a property in Troon and at Ayr Hospital on April 19.

The court heard that the 24-year-old headbutted and kicked a police officer to the head and attempted to bite and headbutt another officer.

He appeared from custody in front of Sheriff Desmond Leslie at Ayr Sheriff Court last week.

Depute Fiscal, Jason Bell, explained: “Police were contacted to a [property] in Troon.

“When the accused was about to be searched, he was asked if he had anything sharp – he replied, “I have six knives and a machete to f*ck you up” and spat at them.

“He made a motion to bite the police officers hand. He was then placed in the police van.

“He head-butted the cell [in the van] and had to be taken to hospital.

“The accused continued to be aggressive and assaulted [a police constable] by head butting him.

“He was threatening to cut them up and fed them to the fish – he was then taken to Ayr Police Officer and cautioned and charged.”

Speaking on his behalf, defence solicitor Ian Gillies said: “Police officers were concerned when they went to the property. They went into the house and he acted in the way that he did. His difficulty is when he is full of drink.”

Sheriff Leslie sentenced Rudge to eight months in prison.
