A FIVE-man cycle team completed the Drumlanrig Challenge for the Tackle Prostate Cancer charity.

Fun-Ki-Riders made up of Ken Batty, David Goldie, Rob Taylor, Tony Brydon, Allan Sloan, completed the 57-mile cycle ride in four hours and 45 minutes.

Two of the riders, David Goldie, co-founder of the group and Rob Taylor both work together at the Ailsa Hospital.

David kept a digital record of the whole journey and was able to share a three-dimensional map video on social media.

He said: “This year we have decided to cycle for prostate cancer as we are a group of men and all at the age in which we could be affected. We are passionate about cycling and proud to support Tackle’s Cycle to the Moon campaign.”

Roger Wotton, Chairman of Tackle Prostate Cancer, added: “We know how devastating the diagnosis of prostate cancer can be - raising awareness and funds through this campaign will hopefully see more men being tested earlier and help accelerate a reduction in mortality figures.”
