A MAN appeared at court for making a neighbour’s life a misery.

Conor Templeton, of Keir Hardie Hill Cumnock, admitted abusive behaviour on two occasions at his home address on December 30, 2017 and repeatedly shouting and swearing at members of the public.

On April 5, he also repeatedly swore and screamed at police officers and struck his head against the interior of a police vehicle.

The 22-year-old appeared before Sheriff Desmond Leslie at Ayr Sheriff Court last week.

Depute Fiscal, Jason Bell, explained: “The background was the neighbour had contacted the police on several occasion on anti-social behaviour concerns.

“On December 30 at around 10.10am, police attended [the property] on noise complaints. The accused was found to be heavily under the influence of alcohol.

“The officers tried to speak to him about the volume, but he started to shout at the officers and members of the public.

“He was taken to Kilmarnock Police Office and released for the courts.

“On April 4, a complaint about the noise was made by the same neighbour and that she could hear screaming by the accused within the house.

“Police attended and spoke with the accused, who became verbally abusive, saying

“I’m going to f**k you up, you’re nothing but the Queen’s bitches”. “He was arrested.

“Straps were applied when he continued to shout and swear.

“He was taken to Kilmarnock Police Office.”

Sheriff Leslie deferred the matter for a criminal justice social work report.
