A NEW community information shop in Ayr town centre is the venue for a whole range of help and advice drop-in events.
Seventeen different charities and services hold regular sessions in South Ayrshire Life’s centre at 57 Newmarket Street.
Social work, occupational therapy, Circles Advocacy, the Dementia Support Association and Action on Hearing Loss are just a few of the organisations who are on hand to provide information and support.
Alison Andrew, information worker with South Ayrshire Life, said: “All of our drop-in events are aimed at making it easier for people to get the help and support they need.
“There’s no need for appointments – just drop in and have a chat with someone. It’s very informal and we also have a private room available if you want to speak in confidence.”
The South Ayrshire Life project is run by Voluntary Action South Ayrshire (VASA).
To find out the days and times of the various drop-ins, please phone South Ayrshire Life on 0800 432 0510, visit the website at www.southayrshirelife.org or call in to 57 Newmarket Street for more details.
