POLICE are continuing their enquiries following a break-in to an Ayr property, where diamond jewellery was stolen, last month. 

Between 5pm on Sunday, March 25 and 9.30am on Friday, April 13 entry has been forced to the house in Park Circus and number of items stolen from within.

Among the items stolen from the property were a diamond pendant and a sapphire and diamond ring which police have released images of as part of the enquiry.

Sergeant Stuart Gibson, from Ayr Police Station, said: “Break-ins to a persons home can have a serious impact on that individual and make them feel unsafe.

“During this incident a large quantity of jewellery was stolen and I would appeal to anyone who may have been offered similar items for sale to please contact us.

“We are carrying out enquiries to trace those responsible and I would urge anyone who may have information which could assist with this enquiry to get in touch.”
