A MAN was seriously assaulted on a train between Glasgow Central and Ayr.
The assault took place on March 23 at 12.15am, and officers from British Transport Police have released CCTV images following the assault between Kilwinning and Irvine.
The victim, in his twenties, received medical treatment following the assault. His injuries although serious, are not considered to be life threatening.
Officers believe the men shown in the CCTV images may have information which could help the investigation.
