PIGEONS who have taken over the clock at Stumpy Tower are to be removed.
Because of this, the clock only tells the correct time twice a day, as the birds have blocked the inside of the Clock Tower.
The issues was discussed at Girvan Town Team meeting.
Cllr Alec Clark, said: “The clock at Stumpy only tells the right time twice a day because of the pigeons that are living there.
“They are jamming up the clock work. Once they go in they are unable to get back out again. But this will be rectified shortly.”
There have been problems with pigeons making old and derelict buildings their home throughout Girvan - the old cinema being a prime spot for the birds.
Pigeon Pest Control in South Ayrshire can help residents and business owners remove them safely.
