PRIMARY seven pupils from Alloway Primary School hosted a Dragons Den event as part of their Enterprise topic.

On Wednesday, March 28 the children took part in the project, which was part of their careers week, to give them an insight to the world of work.

In their business teams, they had to pitch to two outside judges, from the Chamber of Commerce and MinuteMan Press to try and win the top prize and title.

The winning team will create a tshirt logo for the school show coming up in June - “Scots wa-hae fae Alloway”.

The t-shirts will then be printed with the winning teams logo and sold across the school.

The teams made posters and logos to present to the judges. One team even made a tshirt with Nessy on the front.

Our photographer Ken McKissock went to Alloway to see what all the fuss was about and was very impressed with the hard work and determination from all the pupils.

It seems clear they all had fun in the project which gave them the chance at being business entrepreneurs for the day.

All the judges were impressed with the young and upcoming talent they saw and enjoyed taking part in Alloway’s career week.

Teachers and parents are very proud of the teams for doing so well.
Well done to everyone who took part from the Ayr Advertiser Series.
