ALL the sights and sounds and thrills and spills of the Circus arrived at Ayr St Columba Church during the first week of the Easter Holidays.

The team of volunteers transformed the church halls into a circus for The Big Top Holiday Club.

Each morning the club ran from 10am until noon and offered a mixture of games, crafts, songs, stories, challenges and more. Throughout the week everyone met each of the main acts in the circus: the Strong Man Samson, Escape Artist Jonah, Fire-Eater Elijah, Lion Tamer Daniel, and the Ringmaster Moses and explored their stories.

The holiday club followed on from the Landlubbers club, organised last summer and Light Party at Halloween and offered the opportunity for children from the area to spend time together, have fun, make friends, and explore the stories each day.

The Ayr church have already started planning their summer holiday club (so keep an eye out for details being released) and they also have St Columba’s Kids each Sunday at 10am and Messy Church on the last Saturday of each month.
