SOUTH Ayrshire schools recently took part in the annual Ayrshire Association of Burns Clubs Awards.
Pupils from Sacred Heart Primary, Queen Margaret Academy, Girvan Academy and Girvan Primary, took part in the event on Saturday, March 3.
Niamh Rae, from Queen Margaret Academy, won the S1/2 burns verse speaking and came third in the singing and Megan Rae from Sacred Heart Primary, came first in the Primary 6/7.
Writing on social media, Queen Margaret Academy took to their Facebook and said: “Well done to S2 pupil Niamh Rae who won the S1/2 Burns Verse Speaking and came third in the singing at the Ayrshire Association of Burns Competition.”
Sacred Heart Primary also tweeted about how “proud” they were, not only of their pupils but of all pupils who took part.
