AYRSHIRE Rural Touring (ART) Network are delighted to announce another puppet show is on its way to Ballantrae to mark the 35th anniversary of the Puppet Festival.

After a successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe last year, Petite Le Monde Puppet Theatre is touring their bilingual show, The Wonderful World of Lapin to South Carrick audiences.

Join Tania and her lop-eared pal for “The World’s Tastiest Carrot Competition” and you might just get a taste of the award winning carrot.

Nominated in the top five must see puppet shows in The List, The Wonderful World of Lapin will take place in Mossblown Community Centre on Sunday, April 8 and Tuesday, April 10 in Ballantrae Community Centre.

Tickets can be purchased for these events from The Gaiety, Mossblown Library and Craigiemains Garden Centre in Ballantrae.

Festival favourites, Clydebuilt Puppet Theatre will also be sharing timeless Norse tales on the Firth of Clyde as they re-enact the Myths of the Vikings with beautifully handcrafted wooden puppets.

In this engaging production, the puppeteer battles frost giants, dodges magical beasts and brings the gods of old to life.

Myth of the Vikings will be showing at Kennedy Hall in Dunure on Friday, April 6 and at the Quay Zone in Girvan on Saturday, April 7.

Tickets can be purchased for these events from The Gaiety, The Quay Zone and by emailing dunure@gmail.com. All tickets are £4.
