A YOUTH was caught in the garden of an Ayr property in suspicious circumstances, it has been claimed.

At 8.30am on Sunday, February 11 the 17-year-old was arrested for entering the curtilage of a house on Racecourse View.

It is claimed he was moving items about and trying the doors of the house to gain entry.

The Ayr Advertiser understands the owner heard noises outside his property and observed the man in the main court.
The owner went to challenge him before the accused made off. Police attended and the individual was arrested.

The 17-year-old was released on undertaking.

He will appear at Ayr Sheriff Court next month under Section 57 of the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982.
