A PHD student from Prestwick recently collected the British Poultry Council (BPC) Student Scholarship of the Year Award in London.
Allison Craig, who works at Monogastric Science Research Centre at SRUC Auchincruive, made her trip to London and was presented the award by Neil Parish MP, at the BPC annual awards, held in the House of Commons.
Allison, who attends Prestwick South Parish Church, completed her secondary education at Prestwick Academy before studying at Glasgow Caledonian University and moving onto her PhD with SRUC. She receiv, she was invited to receive an award from BPC.
Allison commented on receiving the title, saying that it was “an honour” and “a privilege” to have been chosen to receive this award and hopes to continue to progress her career in the poultry industry.
