METALLIC security fencing surrounding Belleisle House Hotel, which was blown down in during Storm Eleanor, has been deemed dangerous.
The latest issue surrounding the once iconic building was discussed at an Alloway and Doonfoot community council where residents are demanding action to be taken.
Andrew Russell of the community council said: “I am sure it is only a matter of time before the building is set alight. I do not want to see this listed building brought to the ground.”
Cathy Sharkey said: “The fence has blown down because of the bad weather. The windows are broken front and back. It is really dangerous.”
Chic Brodie added: “The problem with Belleisle Park is the total lack of vision with the golf academy and the hub. Someone needs to do something about the park.”
Ian Duncanson asked: “Can we invite Fiona Ross to talk about the future of the park.”
Chairwoman Marilyn Dalgleish agreed and an invitation will be sent to Mr Ross to see if a solution can be found for the hotel.
