THERE are a number of traffic disruptions this morning after the Met Office released a yellow weather warning.

Stagecoach West Scotland has issued many tweets on their Twitter page detailing the number of delays around South and East Ayrshire.

Writing on their page, they said: “#Ayr #Dalmellington due to adverse weather conditions the 52 is subject to severe delays sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

#Ayr #Glasgow due to adverse weather conditions and heavy traffic the X77 is subject to severe delays this morning. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

#AYR due to weather conditions we are facing delays on our service 52, we are sending buses via Dalrymple to get to Patna and Dalmellington, this regrettably means delays to the service due to the diversion. Please allow plenty time for any journeys you intend taking.”

It is understood that there is also delays throughout the south of Ayr with ice on the road.

The Met Office’s yellow warning expects snow and ice to continue into tomorrow evening (Wednesday).
